The DRINK Finale took place in March and April 2022 in North Carolina’s Outer Banks. Finalists demonstrated their wave energy powered desalination systems and won part of the $1 million cash prize pool. Events took place over a 2-week period, including device viewings, in-water testing, and celebratory activities

The Department of Energy’s Water Power Technologies Office is dedicated to expanding educational opportunities for the next generation of marine energy experts.
