Solvari

Prize Round 5 Hardware Track Winner

Two men talk in front of a booth exhibit. One man explains something while looking at the other man and reaching one arm up to touch part of a solar panel.

When Solvari won the Solar Prize Round 5 Hardware Track, it was already a successful boutique engineering firm developing new solar products for companies. But its winning all-in-one residential solar panel was merely a concept—until it was finally developed through the Solar Prize competition. The solar panel design combines racking, flashing, hardware, and power electronics, which simplifies supply chain requirements and enables faster and easier home installations. With the $650,000 in cash plus $150,000 in support vouchers across the three phases of the Solar Prize, Solvari has moved their business to Texas where they finished product development, built over 300 of their solar panels, completed several installations, and prepared for investment activities. Now, Solvari is focused on securing commercialization investments to deliver their market-ready product to hundreds of interested customers.
